Things to Consider Before Ordering Your Shed
Planning your new shed properly from the beginning can save you time, money, and unnecessary headaches during installation.
Whether you're building a farm shed, machinery shed, garage, workshop, or storage shed, a little preparation goes a long way.
1. Ensure Your Shed Kit Is Delivered Correctly
Make sure there is a suitable delivery area with enough space for the truck to safely unload your shed kit. If possible, have someone on-site to direct the driver to the preferred unloading location, as deliveries may otherwise be left at the front of the property. Kit must not be left on new slab or in front of roller door openings.
2. Confirm Delivery Vehicle Access
Before your kit is dispatched, check with your shed supplier what type and size of truck will be delivering your materials. This helps ensure your property has suitable access and avoids delays or additional delivery charges.
3. Store Your Shed Kit Properly
Your shed kit should be stored in a dry, undercover location until installation begins. Protecting the materials from rain, moisture, and prolonged sun exposure helps prevent water staining, fading, distortion, and unnecessary damage that may impact the finished result. Kit must not be left on new slab or in front of roller door openings.
4. Inspect Your Kit Upon Delivery
Carefully inspect all materials as soon as they arrive. Most shed manufacturers have strict timeframes for reporting damaged or missing components, so it's important to identify and report any issues promptly. (Dents/Broken Glass/Damages to ends of guttering)
5. Consider Future Protection
Small additions during the planning stage can make a big difference in the long-term performance of your shed. Features such as vermin proofing, insulation, guttering, and quality roller door seals can improve durability, cleanliness, and functionality for years to come. Know whats in your kit, not all kits include these features but are available to add as additional extras.
Our Commitment to Quality
At Bridgey's Constructions, we believe quality starts long before the first sheet of steel is installed.
From checking slab measurements and ensuring your shed kit has been delivered correctly to maintaining precise installation standards throughout the build, we take pride in doing the job properly from start to finish.
We Measure for Precision
Before installation begins, we inspect and measure your slab to ensure it matches your shed specifications. Identifying any issues early helps avoid costly delays and ensures your shed is built accurately.
Attention to Every Detail
It's often the small details that make the biggest difference. We pay close attention to alignment, finishes, weatherproofing, and overall presentation to deliver a shed you'll be proud of.
We Recommend Vermin Proofing
One of the most worthwhile upgrades is vermin proofing. It creates a cleaner, more professional finish while helping prevent rodents, birds, snakes, and other pests from entering your shed.
Vermin proofing is available in both plastic and steel options to suit different budgets and applications and is commonly available as an optional addition with most shed kits.
Built Right the First Time
The most expensive job is the one you have to pay for twice.
That's why we focus on quality workmanship, honest advice, and attention to detail—ensuring your shed is built to last and completed to a standard we're proud to stand behind.
